1978...Born Montonn Jay Jira to Arin and Vicky. Hongkong Adventist Hospital. Attends Hongkong International School till the 4th grade.
1987..Montonn moves to Thailand with his family. Enrolls in the 4th grade at Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok. Wins Domon mini talent competition by pulling off some breakdance moves on stage.
1989.. Fashion shoots Praew magazine, Tur Kub Chun Magazine. Mini domon and Benetton ads.
1991 ...plucks out a few chords on the guitar. Earns a role in a deodorant commercial.
1992...Montonn joins his first and only highschool band. Works as a fashion model and competes on tv gameshows. Finds an interest in Yoga and begins practice
1994...awarded the Top TV presenter award and the Award for Favorite tv commercial of 1994
1995...Moves to California to spend senior year at a prepratory school. Received star of the year award by the Bangkok Post (Mar), Leaves behind an obligation to record with Polygram Records. Becomes a vegetarian.
1996...HS graduation. Returns to Thailand to record debut album followed by a tour. Films first feature film, "Mean Street Blues". Album goes gold. Begins planning of second album. Plans postponed due to collapse of label.
1998...Returns to California to study music and economics. Performs in various music groups. Listening and sharing music with Greg Martin, That summer, he shoots his first tv series. "Wun Fai wai Fun". VJ for MTV.
1999...Spends year in rented house with friends. Studies Percussion with Stan Lunetta. Takes on the duty of drummer for "HOTBOX". Then Joins "THE SAID" playing guitar. Writes songs with Greg Martin. Summer.. Shoots tv drama called "rueak laew kue thur".
2000...Year spent in the SAE house 521 Russell BLvd. Davis. Begins his of study of recording and production. Summer..Shoots drama. "Sai tarn Hua Jai". Becomes more dedicated to his yoga practice. Returns to California.
2001... Graduates in March and travels, visiting friends and music festivals. Learns to Kite surf and sleep in scaffolding. Hears of Gainsbourg. Gets inspired by the MOMUS essays. Records the Vatan Remix for Moderndog at DJ Spydamonkees studio. Starts shooting "Girl Club". Starts work on a song for Smallroom 003 in collaboration with Lady Ann.
2002...........new performance dates, opening for moderndog. songs for tv series "girlclub" aired. Work in California apprenticing in post sound production. Scores the music to "Streets of Paradise".
2003... joins Kenna as keyboard/bass player for two US tours opening for Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode and Fischerspooner. Record of the year awarded by Fat Radio for production on "Go Now" more music projects to come. release of track on smallroom 003 Nov. 1st.
